It’s springtime, it’s springtime!

My Friday mornings are wonderful. I sleep in a bit, eat Cheerios in bed, open up my laptop and focus on blogging for a few hours before ‘work’ and then I switch laptops to my work laptop so I can actually get paid to do something. Since the weather is nice now, the windows are open and I’m enjoying a nice breeze.

Yep, life is good on Fridays.

You’d better believe I’m ready for this three day weekend! But not before Friday Fours

Four thoughts from this week

  • There are certain weather conditions in which I wish work would be cancelled: Too much snow, too much rain, too much wind, and any temperatures between 65-80. It’s simply been too nice to be cooped up indoors lately!
  • Can someone please take over my Pinterest for the next few weeks and teach me the magic of getting a bijillion pageviews from old posts?! For the life of me, I don’t understand Pinterest. Thanks.
  • I (with Tim) visited a family pastor in my church to talk about some issues I’ve been dealing with, and I really do feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders! I’m very thankful that we go to a church that has these types of (free) services, and if your church offers something similar, I strongly suggest you take advantage!
  • I watched the first episode of the Bachelorette (my first time ever watching the first episode of either the Bachelor or Bachelorette… usually I avoid the show entirely) and now I’m hooked. Typical.

Four pregnancy notes

  • We officially switched hospitals and midwifery groups this week… yikes! With only a few more weeks to go in this pregnancy, it was definitely a last minute decision, but I feel good about it. Now we just have to cram a few more appointments into our already packed schedule – yikes.
  • Bumpy’s crib has finally been ordered! The nursery will start to be put together next week! (Confession: I definitely am not the decorating type. I know soon-to-be moms are supposed to be excited about baby rooms, but I am not at all. I love hearing about other nurseries, I just have no interest in doing the work myself! Someone please come over and do it for me.)
  • We made it to the 34 week ‘milestone’ which means that if Bumpy is born anytime now, (s)he will have the same survival rate as a full term baby and will most likely not have any long-term defects. Only God knows the birth date and condition of our little one, and I know nothing is guaranteed, but this milestone still comforts me.
  • I’m actually less uncomfortable than I was last week! Thank goodness my sinuses cleared up so I feel like a real person again. Hip, hip, hooray! The fatigue is still around and going strong, but I can definitely live with that.

Four posts (of mine) you may have missed

Featured blog(ger)

this too blog

Today I can’t wait to introduce you to the lovely and kind Kari, who blogs at ‘This, Too‘! Kari has both a blog and a store, and I think know you’ll fall in love with both.

If you’re anything like me, you’re immediately wondering what this blog title is all about, right? Kari explains it beautifully.

Kari is a fellow Midwesterner who is clearly a romantic. Just reading her posts makes me view the world a bit differently, which is so refreshing. She clearly appreciates the little things, and I can’t help but wish that it came as naturally to me as it does to her. She writes and expresses herself beautifully! Plus, she takes freakin’ gorgeous pictures. Just take today’s post as an example…

Kari is also one of those bloggers that manages to say what I’m thinking, but in far fewer words, which I admire. Take this post on progress, as an example. It’s as beautiful as it is true and I can relate to every word.

Get on over there and check her out!

Of course, feel free to stalk follow her (and her blog!) on Bloglovin’, Twitter, and Instagram.

* Do you want to be a featured blogger/shop owner? I have some spots (starting at $2!) available immediately

 Cheers!
