I can’t possibly start watching OITNB until I have 13 hours to focus… (and other Friday thoughts)

Another great week is in the books! I swear, the closer we get to summer, the better these weeks get. We spent the past few days at church groups, game nights, at work, gardening, and eating more than our fair share of cupcakes. And when I say ‘our fair share of cupcakes’ I really just mean mine, because I’m pretty sure I ate enough for both of us and Tim didn’t eat any.

Details, details.

Last weekend we also celebrated baby shower #2 for little Bumpy, who was beyond spoiled by our families once again.

Life is good at the Benroeck household!

Now it’s Friday and this weekend should bring time with friends and maybe some shopping and hopefully we’ll find some time to spend with each other… all good things! I may even get my prenatal yoga on! I’m excited to have a ‘normal’ weekend and to have time for ‘normal weekend’ things.

Friday Four time, right?!

Four thoughts from this week

  • The new episodes of Orange Is The New Black are out (obviously), and I’m just not sure when to start watching it. I watched the last ‘season’ (is that what they’re considered?) in one sitting – all 13 hours – so I feel like I need to set aside a large chunk of time for round 2. I’m afraid to even start it this weekend because I know I’ll be up allllll night. I can’t wait!
  • I don’t know what’s happened to me lately, but I love spending time outside watering and weeding our garden. Does this mean I’m getting more domestic?! Gosh I hope so… (mainly for Tim’s sake).
  • Telestrations. Best game night game (for a larger group) ever. So many laughs.
  • I have been really, really good at not blogging at night and at going to bed  before midnight. Well, except for last night, but everyone needs an occasional cheat day.

Four pregnancy notes

  • Everyone keeps asking us if we’re ready to pop this baby out, and the answer is always ‘heck no’. We are not even close to ready. I mean, yeah I’m a bit uncomfortable, but I could use another 6 months to prepare mentally and in our apartment.
  • We had our 36 week appointment this week (SERIOUSLY. 36 freakin’ weeks) and everything is looking fantastic.
  • We set up a baby pool on BabyHunch.com for family and friends to guess Bumpy’s gender and birth date and all of that good stuff… If you’re pregnant or know someone who is, I recommend checking it out to set up your own pool! I love seeing everyone’s guesses.
  • We have a crib and a mattress but we do not have storage for ANYTHING in the nursery. This means that we have a lot of baby stuff just sitting on the ground. We clearly need to do something about this ASAP.

Four links (that are too good not to share)

Featured blog(ger)

blue giraffes and concrete jungles blogToday I can’t wait to introduce you to a fellow big-city dweller (although her big city is bigger than my big city), Rebekah from ‘Blue Giraffes and Concrete Jungles‘!

Rebekah writes about everything and anything and her blog is a true reflection of her life and what’s going on in her day to day experiences. Want to know what her typical day is like?! Of course you do. (I always love reading about how my favorite bloggers actually spend their time when they aren’t on the internet!)

Rebekah would get along with Tim (my husband) super well because they’re both Harry Potter fans. I mean, I won’t say I’m not, I’ll just say that I don’t pay quite as much attention to the general plot as some people I know. But if you love HP, you’ll totally relate to this post.

One thing that Rebekah does that I do not do is cook. So, if you’re always wondering where my recipes are, I can assure you that there aren’t any because I have none, but Rebekah has you covered for dinner (because who doesn’t love pasta?)!  I’m actually totally tempted to try this recipe, too, but it may be too ambitious for me…

Get on over there and check her out!

Of course, feel free to stalk follow her (and her blog!) on Bloglovin’, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram

**Do you want to be a featured blogger/shop owner? I have some spots (starting at $2!) available immediately

I hope you’re spending your day/weekend eating lots of doughnuts, watching ‘Orange is the New Black’ and enjoying some sunshine!

Cheers!
