On my mind.

// We received a pineapple for our ‘fruit of the month’ club, and thank goodness for YouTube because otherwise that thing would still be sitting on our counter! It was one of the best pineapples I’ve ever eaten. Also, in the spirit of full disclosure, I actually didn’t watch YouTube on how to cut a pineapple nor did I cut the pineapple… Tim did.

// I want to buy absolutely everything from Piperlime (did you know they’re going out of business on the 30th and everything is on super-sale?!) but I’m holding myself back because I am dedicated to limiting my wardrobe to only my absolutely must-have options. Also, it worries me that nothing can be returned. But still, so many pretty things! *Update: I totally bought some things while I was writing this post. It appears I’m a more easily distracted and have less self-control than I originally thought.

// I recently moved this blog to WordPress (from a different platform – blogengine.net) and I am very, very happy with my decision thus far.  (If you see anything that’s ‘broken’ let me know!)

Spring at the Chicago Botanic Gardens

// The temperatures were in the 40’s this weekend, but I still dragged my family outside to enjoy the sunshine! We went to the Botanic Gardens and saw a few flowers in bloom. It felt wonderful to get outside for a bit and enjoy the fresh air (of the Chicago suburbs…) I’m going to enjoy spring for what it is, gosh darn it!

// Now that I’m almost-30 (yikes!) I feel like I need to start taking better care of my skin. Why oh why was the way-too-tan look ever ‘in’?! Anyway, this means that I’m going to get serious about buying quality skin products. If you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear them!

Playdate

// Clara and I went to a play-date the over the weekend and we had so much fun! I love seeing how all of her little friends are progressing since we met them when they were only 2 months old! Now all the babies are crawling and pulling themselves up and are truly curious about one another. It’s adorable.

// I recently started taking a photography class and I am so excited about it! I’ve only gone to 2 of the classes and 1 photo lab (in which we’re learning Lightroom) and I’ve already learned so much. I’m actually really sad I didn’t take a class years ago when I first got my DSLR. Better late than never, though, right?!

What have you been up to?!
