That dreaded ‘what are we going to have for dinner’ conversation.

Confession:

I really dislike cooking. Well, maybe I shouldn’t say that. I really dislike going to the grocery store, doing dishes, and waiting around for water to boil.

So I avoid cooking like the plague.

‘Ain’t nobody got time for that!’ is the phrase that quickly comes to mind.

Or maybe that’s just the wine talking, I’m not exactly sure.

I do love baking, though… so that’s a +1 for my domesticity score (which is now still around the negative 900 mark).

Anyway, usually the Husband cooks – because he is the best.

But today, I got home earlier than him, which led to the following texts:

The sad thing is… 1.) I was totally serious and 2.) I didn’t even make the mac & cheese or grilled cheese from ‘scratch’ – they were leftovers from the Husband’s parents’ house over the weekend and I just microwaved them up.

*Correction… I microwaved my own servings up. The Husband had to fend for himself*

Oops.

All that matters, though, is that we ate, our bellies are full, we’re thankful we had food at all, and we will be able to eat the same thing tomorrow because there are still leftovers! Sweet!

Cheers!
