I’ve been counting down for today for a long, long time, and now it’s here!
The Husband and I are soon going to be off on an adventure and I cannot wait.
You see, our dear (and also newlywed) friends moved to Buenos Aires for 3 months, and we’re going to visit them for a week (or so) and we’re leaving tonight and life is AMAZING.
The Husband and I are going to be acting like college kids, sleeping on their pull-out couch, and I could not be happier. SERIOUSLY, could not be happier.
A week with my best friends in a foreign country? Yes please.
Time with the Husband away from job stress and life stress and stress in general? YES.
And the opportunity to wander around a country/continent I have never been on before and where we barely speak the language? Challenge accepted.
So needless to say, with this amount of excitement, I was pretty useless this week. It just dragged on and on and on.
But, even though the week went by slowly, I still had some great times: My women’s church group was insightful as always. We’re going through a Beth Moore study (David) and I’m really enjoying it. We also had our couples’ church group and I ate the most delicious bean deep ever. The conversation was good, too – but let’s be honest, nothing can beat a good bean dip. Also, on Thursday I got my hair cut and I feel so much lighter (because you know, that one inch made such a difference). For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to make my hair look as good as they make it look in the salon! Maybe I should go back to school to be a hair stylist… Someone teach me the ways!
Perfect fall dinner, right?! Courtesy of Panera.
Now, onto Friday Fours!

4 Favorite Things:
- Journaling
- Down comforters.
- Traveling to new places.
- Praying. I especially love this book of prayers and highly, highly recommend it to any woman out there. I seriously use it every single day. It’s not a devotional, but rather it’s a book of prayers for when you want to pray about something specific (anxiety, waiting for a call, a husband, children, etc.)
4 Confessions:
- I managed to go from Friday through Monday without showering. I think we can all agree that the Husband is a lucky, lucky man.
- I have a minor in Spanish but no longer remember how to speak Spanish. I tried listening to podcasts, which helped a bit, but I really wish I remembered it better so I could be more useful during this trip!
- If you come over to our house at 6:30pm, any weeknight, you’ll hear the Husband and I chanting “WHEEL OF FORTUNE!!!” We freakin’ love this show more than people our age probably should. (Of course, I’m better at it than he is).
- I’m always late with birthday cards. ALWAYS. I can be counting down to your birthday for weeks and the card will still be late. Sigh.

Featured Blog:
It is my pleasure to introduce you to the lovely Audrey from audrey.isms (a lifestyle blog)! It is especially fitting that Audrey is being featured today, because (like me) she also loves to travel!
Audrey is a woman of faith who lives life to the fullest and seems to truly appreciate every aspect of it. Just read her ‘About’ page… you’re guaranteed to be inspired!
I’m actually a bit jealous, because she currently works as a freelancer/Project Manager/Mobile App builder and blogger and if I could do that, I think I’d be one happy lady!
Now, if you’re like me and had no idea it was happening, you missed social media day on June 30th. But, I also like to pretend this holiday exists every single day, and I celebrate it accordingly. SO, these tips from Audrey can still help us all out!
So don’t delay, hurry on over to visit audrey.isms!
And (of course) follow her on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Bloglovin‘, Instagram, and Pinterest. (See, I told you she was a social media guru!)
