(This title has almost nothing to do with this post… but don’t you agree that it would be awesome to have a ‘pants optional’ day?!)
Friday, Friday, Friday!!! I feel like this was one of those weeks where a ton of things happened. Not in my life personally, but in the world. I know this because Twitter tells me so. Anyway, I don’t really have much to say that I haven’t already – so let’s get onto my Friday Fours!
4 Favorite Things:
- Chinese food
- The CrossFit Games (you can watch them this weekend on ESPN3 or on their website)
- Chicago’s weather. It’s been in the 70s all week and I cannot get enough of it.
- This TED talk:
4 Confessions:
- On Thursday I didn’t put on pants until 8pm. I went straight from pajamas to bikini and hung out in that until dinner! Have I mentioned I love summer?
- I may spend the rest of forever watching all of the episodes of America’s Next Top Model I can on Hulu.com. I just found this site and am obsessed.
- I haven’t responded to blog comments all week. This is a major ‘oops’ for me. I honestly don’t know where my time went all week! But I absolutely love comments and I promise to get caught up. Phew, glad I got that off my chest.
- I think that the first pic of Royal Baby George and his parents is adorable and even though I’m not really interested in the Royal Family in general, I just think William and Kate are the cutest couple.
4 Favorite Links Articles:
- On Barbie (via Upworthy)
- On the future (via FastCompany)
- On Anthony Weiner (via The Atlantic)
- On difficult women (via The New Yorker)
4 Posts I Wrote This Week:
- Tequila tasting party, where have you been all of my life!? (Mon)
- The men of my past. (Tues)
- I’m thinking about camels and town criers and lady parts (among other things). (Wed)
- Marriage confessions (Part 2) (Thurs)
Featured Blog:
I just love helping and supporting new bloggers, so of course I was thrilled to ‘meet’ Hannah from Words as Palindromes! If you don’t know what a palindrome is, you aren’t the only one (because I didn’t either)!. Luckily, she explains that in her About Me page. (Seriously, that’s where I learned what the heck it was. It’s clearly been too long since I’ve been in school.)
Hannah and I have some things in common: we both recently had our blogs redesigned, we both like to talk, we minored in Spanish, we love to travel, and we both spent 6 weeks abroad during a summer in college. The difference is, Hannah is still actually in college and that makes me feel super-old. Wah, wah.
Hannah is just the sweetest blogger and her posts have inspired me to be more thankful for the little things and to actually keep track of a list of life goals. (I swear, I wrote them once but totally lost the whole darn list. Fail.) She also writes great personal/introspective posts, which I absolutely love. She even finds time to cook in college! This is something I can’t relate to at all, but I totally admire. When I was in college, I managed to ruin Easy Mac.
Anyway, don’t take my word for it (even though I’m a totally reliable source), go over and say ‘hello’!

Now excuse me, I have some blog comments to respond to! I hope everyone is having a most spectacular Friday, and are spending it sans pants (unless you’re at work, in which case you should probably put some darn pants on).
