Interviews, interviews everywhere!

I have yet another job interview today, so please wish me luck!

It’s going to be 3 hours long, but thankfully I love to talk about myself so that shouldn’t be a problem.

(I wish I was joking, but alas. I think you knew that already, though, since I am a blogger and all.)

Anyway, in the spirit of interviewing, I decided to interview one of my sponsors so I could be the one asking the questions for once!

So without further ado, let me introduce you to the wonderful Christine from Life With A Side of Coffee!

What are three things you’re naturally good at?

Kids. I don’t know how but I’ve been told I have the natural touch when it comes to babies and kids. I’ve been in the business of babysitting and nannying for about ten years now but I’ve always just felt comfortable with kids. I can usually fix any problem and there has only been one time where I couldn’t handle the situation. I speak the baby language.

Talking to people. I love working in environments where I have to interact with people. One of my jobs right now is as a receptionist at a salon and I absolutely love it. There’s always someone to talk to, someone to help out and phones to answer.

Carving pumpkins. I personally feel I have a knack for carving pumpkins. I can do it pretty well.

If you could re-live any moment of your life, what would it be?

I would love to relive both Britney concerts I went to, and I would relive all the family Christmases that had everyone together.

——

What are three books that you’ve read lately that you think EVERYONE should read?

I’ve recently read a lot of good books. One was Let the Dead Sleep by Heather Graham, which I wrote a book review on and absolutely loved. Another I recently read was The Perks of Being A Wallflower which was also really good. Right now I’m reading Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares which I am loving. I’m halfway through but I’m always trying to get a few pages in.

What things are on your bucket list for the last 2 months of this year?

I want to get on a regular routine of going to the gym. I was going to work with a personal trainer but our schedules just aren’t meshing well and I hate having to cancel when last-minute work stuff comes up. I also want to continue cooking my dinners most, if not all, days of the week. I need to stop buying food and eating out so much because 1) I want to be able to control what is being put into my body and 2) I want to stop spending so much money on frivolous things such as dining out at place like Jimmy Johns.

What three things could someone learn from your blog?

These questions are so hard when they are turned on you! Give me any blog and I could tell you three things you could learn from them but give me my own and I’m clueless. I feel like my blog isn’t a place where you learn something but just enjoy what you read. I try and write about things that are fun and interesting. Sometimes I get on a pedestal but I try not to very often. I like to make fun of myself and I like to share things that I enjoy. So hopefully, when people come to my blog, they can just sit back, read, sip some coffee and relax. I’m doing something right because I have amazing followers that having been coming back for a while and that’s all that matters.

My thoughts on this interview:

1.) How can anyone be naturally good at carving pumpkins?! That shit particular task is hard to do! Bravo, my friend.

2.) Yes, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, read it.

3.) Amen to going to the gym regularly and eating home cooked meals. Could I get a stunt double (or a clone, perhaps? Is that ethical yet?) to do both of these things for me?!

4.) I feel the same way about my blog in terms of it not being able to really teach anyone anything, but I sure as heck hope it’s entertaining someone or at least forcing people to think about something differently… I hear ya on this question, Christine, it was a tough one. I’m glad I at least stumped you once, as I’m probably suffering in my three hour interview right about now…

Obviously, if you aren’t already following “Life With A Side of Coffee”, I don’t know what you’re waiting for!

On a related note, if you ever want to be interviewed by me, we could arrange that.

Send positive thoughts my way this afternoon!

Cheers!
