Do you know what’s better than a four day week?
A three day (work) week!
And do you know what’s better than a three day week?
A two day (work) week!
This whole holiday things is pretty outstanding… I mean, I was just getting back into the groove of work yesterday, and today it’s FRIDAY already.
It is the way it should always be.
But then I guess I wouldn’t appreciate the very rare two day week when it does make an appearance.
Sigh.
Well, I wasn’t as productive as I could have been on my first day back to work, but I guess that can be expected, right? So I’ve decided not to beat myself up over it too much.
Today is a new day and maybe I’ll be even more productive.
A girl can dream, right?!
As a quick recap: This week (outside of work) the Husband and I celebrated NYE at a wedding, we walked in the snow with Ozzie (who freakin’ LOVES the snow), I worked on my group’s Bible study, I read, we watched TV, we slept in late, and we even went on a run or two.
Life is good.
Bring it, 2014 – we’re ready for you!
But enough about that, let’s get on with Friday Fours!

4 Favorite Things:
- Going to the gym. (I haven’t gone very much lately, so I’m pretending this is a ‘new’ favorite thing. But I am newly committed and I’m getting my booty there more often in the very near future!)
- Breaking Bad (Season 4).
- Waking up with the same hair I went to bed with the night before. Instant and easy good hair day!
- Chili. And when I say chili, I mean chili with cheese and noodles and beans and maybe onions… YUM.
4 Confessions:
- I don’t usually watch TV, but when I do, I binge watch. As in, I feel the need to watch an entire season (of whatever show) in a single day. I do the same thing with books – once I start a book, I like to finish it in a single day.
- Speaking of books, I haven’t been reading as much as I would like to be, which makes me sad/disappointed in myself. However, I have no lack of recommendations, so that’s something to look forward to! (But if you have recommendations, send them my way! I’m always looking for new material).
- I’m really wimpy when it comes to dreaming, evidently. The other night I was dreaming about being chased by a sea lion, and when I woke up (suddenly) I was fully convinced it had followed me into my room, so of course I woke up the Husband to make sure there was not, in fact, any sea life next to our bed.
- I really, REALLY wanted to skip the gym last night. It was 10 degree outside. There was a foot of snow on the ground… I mean, how many excuses does a girl need?! But, the Husband told me I should go, and with that little borrowed motivation, off I went, and boy am I glad I did! I never, ever regret a trip to CrossFit. (Even if I am the biggest weakling there.)
