If it’s dinner time and I still haven’t blogged for the day, is it best to write a blog post or save it for tomorrow?
Age old question, people.
I’ll just go ahead and write/publish it tonight, because darnit, I have things to say (per usual)!
Well, work has been busy these past few days, and I had to work all day on Saturday. Working on a Saturday does not thrill me, even if it involves getting paid overtime. BUT, there was something else I did on Saturday, while sitting at my computer in my family room, glaring at Microsoft Excel… (not that I’m holding a grudge against that entire program, or anything).
I booked our next big vacation!
As soon as I found out we were going to be parents this year, the first thing I thought of (well, the first rational thought I had) was: Where do I need to travel in the next nine months and how am I going to fit it all in?!
You see, it’s no secret that I love to travel.
Love, love, love it.
And the Husband and I usually do several bigger trips a year. In 2011 it was Boston and New York City,Colorado (for skiing), Washington DC, Los Angeles and Jamaica.
In 2012 it was Aspen (skiing), San Francisco/Napa/Yosemite/Los Angeles, Jamaica (wedding), Tanzania (honeymoon), and Istanbul (also honeymoon).
In 2013 it was Hawaii, Boston, and Argentina/Uruguay.
In 2014 it’s going to be Charleston and our newly booked trip…
Central Europe!
We were originally planning on going to Thailand this year, but with being newly pregnant when I had to book the trip, I decided I’d rather book a trip that I just felt a little more comfortable with. And I have always wanted to visit Central Europe!
So, we’ll be visiting the following cities:
Warsaw, Poland

Krakow, Poland

Vienna, Austria

Budapest, Hungary

Prague, Czech Republic

I think I speak for both of us (the Husband and me) when I say that we could not be more excited about this upcoming trip! Our tickets are ready, our hotels have been booked… we’re ready to go! It’s going to be quite the whirlwind tour, but hopefully we’ll have some great adventures and new experiences together.
Which is what a vacation is all about, right?!
So tell me, have you been to any of these places?! Do you have any recommendations?
Cheers!
