Confession: I’m a coat person. Borderline hoarder, really.
This is absolutely not a surprise to people who have seen my closets.
I have somewhere in the realm of 30 ‘winter’ jackets. Some of those may be better suited for fall or spring, because let’s be honest, I really only wore my one down jacket this winter, since it was -40 degrees as an average. (I’m only slightly exaggerating here.)
Whenever the Husband and I are apartment searching, this coat obsession becomes an issue.
Small hall closet?
That’s not going to work.
No hall closet?
Say what?!
Our last apartment had a second bedroom that we needed solely as a coat and shoe room for me, since the apartment didn’t have any hall closet storage space.
I hate ‘stuff’ and i donate clothes often to clean out my closet… but touch my coats?! I think not.
I’m not proud of this. But these are facts.
(We’ll get to the number of impractical shoes I own in a later post.)
Anyway, since I am not really ‘allowed’ to buy any more coats this year (or possibly ever), I thought I would share what coats I would buy this spring if I didn’t already have a coat infestation going on in my house.
Also, it has come to my attention that I’m actually not going to be able to button my jackets for much longer, thanks to this ever-growing baby bump. Thank goodness it’s (supposedly) going to get warmer soon!
Speaking of which… someone take my credit card away so I stop buying non-maternity clothes! The other day I almost bought shorts from J.Crew before I thought, what the heck am I thinking?! I don’t even know what my size will be this summer! Rookie mistake.
Well, I’ll be stocking up on clothes in the next few weeks, that’s for sure. I have a trip to Europe coming up and I have no clue what size I’ll be in the next few months, which is not at all reassuring, but I shall figure out a way to make it work! Even if I have to buy even more clothes to cover all my bases. Don’t feel too bad for me, guys.
