This week has tired me out, folks, both emotionally and physically and I guess mentally, too. Yep, let’s just say I’m worn out. I’m doing that thing I tend to do where I take on way too many ‘obligations’ and I can barely keep track of them all, much less follow through on them!
This week was filled with: working (I worked the last two weekends and quite a few nights in addition to my 40 hrs per week); church groups; blogging (obviously); spending some quality time with the Husband; working out (very occasionally); sleeping when I have a few hours to spare (usually after 1am); and trying to stay on top of my social life. Phew. I guess it sounds pretty typical for a 20-something person, but I think I’m getting old because I just don’t have the energy I used to!
Ozzie was totally judging my wannabe-pregnant-belly-selfie pic. See that judging face?!
But enough complaining from me! I have to say, it was a good week overall and it flew by. I’m thankful for all the people I was able to see and the things I was able to do and the health I enjoyed and this great (and frigid) city I live in with the Husband and our little Monster!
I hope you feel blessed this week, too.
Let’s move on to Friday Fours, shall we?!

4 Favorite Things:
- More daylight hours! (It was light until after 5pm today and I loved it. Even though I was stuck in my office.)
- Cuties. The mini-oranges, that is.
- Laughter.
- Talking to other pregnant or recently pregnant ladies. Or anyone who will listen to me talk about this little fetus person, really.
4 Confessions:
- Microsoft Excel has the power to make me cry. I didn’t burst into tears at work this week, but I was too close for comfort.
- I’m jealous that Ozzie definitely loves the Husband more than me. The Husband is convinced if I walked him or fed him then I’d be the new favorite, but I’m just not willing to put in the effort.
- It’s totally common for me not to eat anything until 3pm. I’m just not a morning eater, unless it’s a quick piece of fruit or a Jolly Rancher. I love Jolly Ranchers.
- I’m now considering any amount of physical activity a workout. Last night I almost didn’t go to CrossFit, because I got home at 6:15 and open gym closes at 7pm. WELL, I was determined that work would not defeat my exercise schedule, so off to the gym I went. For 25 minutes. I guess something is better than nothing, right?
4 Pregnancy Notes:
- The Husband and I (and let’s be honest… mainly my mom) are picking out the paint color for the baby’s room this week, because we’re having our new apartment painted before we move in. Things are getting REAL.
- We hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time this morning. Send positive thoughts our way, please! We would love your prayers.
- First babymoon is booked. Second babymoon is in the works.
- I feel like a fake pregnant woman, since I don’t have a belly and don’t really feel very pregnant. I have a feeling this shall pass soon enough!

4 Posts I Wrote This Week:

- There’s a first time for everything. Like peeing my pants in the gym. (Tues)
- (My) thoughts on making it official. (Wed)
- If this blogging thing gets boring, I may just become a model in my free time. (Thurs)
Featured Blog:
I’m thrilled that I have the opportunity to introduce you to my featured blogger this week!
Alli from “Allena Mistral: The Blog” is both a wonderful person and blogger, who lives and writes from one of my favorite cities in the United States – Boston! Although, let’s be honest, Chicago winters are brutal enough for me, I don’t think I could handle the Northeast! Anyway, I’m off track already. Alli writes about a bunch of different topics, which is why I keep coming back to read her blog. I think my favorite day to read her blog is on Mondays, because each week she writes a Motivational Monday post, and is there any better way to start the week than with a little extra motivation?! I also loved this post on being thankful for the basic things in life, which I know I totally take for granted. Way to make me feel super convicted, Alli!
One thing that I do not do very often (even though I absolutely love when other bloggers do this) is write about blogging. Crazy, right?! Recently, Alli wrote a great post on fonts (which I know I don’t do well at all!) and another post on ways to network with other bloggers/grow your blog.
And finally, when she isn’t writing motivational posts or giving tips on blogging or writing about life in general (have I mentioned this post that I absolutely love on how to make friends in a new city?!) Alli is making my credit card tingle in my pocket with her ‘What I Want Wednesday’ posts. Warning: You will want every single thing you see.
Anyway, enough from me, go check her out for yourself!
And of course, feel free to stalk follow her (and her blog!) on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.
PLUS, she has a jewelry store you won’t want to miss!
